Devious Journal Entry

I've abandoned DA. I feel kind of guilty about it, considering I got a DD a little while back, but I have excuses. Number one being work. Working as a graphic designer's great, but after six hours of fiddling in Photoshop and InDesign all I really want to do is eat ice cream and watch Intervention.

So the last time I made a real update I mentioned I was moving into an apartment. Yeah, I did that and it's awesome. I'm poor as hell but it's completely worth it. Work's going well too. In January I started working on the paper's website and that's been unofficially (we haven't advertised it) up and running for a while now. It's definitely taught me though that I'm not really cut out to be a full time website designer. Glad I didn't jump into that track when I had the chance.

I don't know if anyone really noticed, but I went through a really tough streak last year. I mean REALLY tough. Honestly it really killed my creativity for a while. I'm still on the mend, but hopefully I can get back into the swing of things soon enough and start spamming your inboxes with new work.

Two thumbs up, DA. I'm loving the new user page. I just spent the last 10 minutes or so playing with it and making it look all fancy.

So I haven't been around for a while, and I might be gone even longer. I just got an apartment and I'm moving in next week. That means I might not have internet for some time. I AM kind of close to the library, so maybe I can get some crappy wifi on my laptop, but I don't know. We'll see.

Hello from work

Since Thanksgiving's this week, the paper's going to press early. This means instead of my usual Sunday routine of browsing Sephora.com and eating my weight in Cheese-Its, I'm in my cold office alone and trying to keep myself busy.

On the bright side, yesterday I got ALL my Christmas shopping done. In one day. I am the queen of Christmas.

I think I use too many unnecessary commas. My ninth grade English teacher would cross out nearly every comma I used in a paper, so I became very stingy with my comma use. However every teacher after that forced me to use commas EVERYWHERE, so I think my brain has malfunctioned in the comma department and I just throw them everywhere I can.

Can you tell how bored and lonely I am right now?
