Memory

This was done for the Vexels.Net competition.

Let me start out by saying I never intended to finish this, and just the fact that I did makes me proud of myself.

It didn't come out half as good as I think it could have. However, look at what I was dealing with. Cut to me a week ago, looking at this photo thinking, "the shirt's not that bad, it's just flat shapes". Cut to me two days later on the verge of tears because there are about 2000 flat shapes waiting to be vexeled. Well, after taking out some of the detail (yes, if you look at the photo there's MUCH more detail I didn't go into) I cut it down to something more managable.

I'm especially proud of how the guy's face turned out. I love his nose. I want to poke him in the belly too. I don't think he'd giggle like the Pillsbury Doughboy though, because he's a model and he's paid not to have emotions.

Ok, now onto the boring nity-grity everyone seems to love:

Layers: Well, there's 189 shape layers, but I'd wager to say there's around 30 touch-up layers in there too. I don't want to go back and look.
Hours: Lord only knows, and I'm sure he got bored halfway through and stopped caring. Um, I'll guess around 20?
